Poison Oak. When I first moved to the Bay Area I was happy there were no mosquitoes (compared with Wisconsin) but not happy with the virulence of the poison oak. Seemed everytime I went into the woods I'd get it: Super itchy bumpy weepy blisters. Its like it was looking for me, leaping out at me from behind trees. I thought of it as a villain of sorts, my own personal nemesis.
