It's been ages since I posted here, so I'll just break the ice... I could use a new employee to help out with LEED consulting. Here's the listing: LEED AP strongly preferred, but we can train if someone is quick on the uptake. - Must have familiarity with LEED concepts - Able to read a set of construction drawings... - Has basic understanding of mechanical systems - Has an understanding of (or at least an interest in) the commissioning process - Doesn't have to know everything, but does need to know what they don't know, if you know what I mean We're looking for someone who can work part or full-time. Pay is competitive, with competitive benefits for full-time employees. The biggest benefit is flexibility. If you prove to be adequately self-directed, you can telecommute most days of the week. We are very flexible with hours, and "family comes first" is not just lip service. The work is basic LEED consulting: goal setting, feasibility, technical assistance, LEED documentation (or management thereof), LEED construction administration (mainly not on-site). The jobs include commercial, institutional, multi-family, healthcare, higher ed, industrial it’s a huge exposure to lots of different building types. We also do commissioning and energy analysis, so anyone with an interest or a skill set in those areas would be welcome. It’s a small, unconventional company, but we get some really great work. We’ve been at it for over 11 years, and I think we’re pushing 50 LEED certifications by now. Pay is hourly, with overtime for full-time employees paid as 1.5x hourly pay. When you do come into the office, you'll be coming to Redlands. Office-attire: We ask that you wear clothes. You can determine what type. The ideal candidate can also shine up to attend occasional meetings and job site visits. Message me if you're qualified and interested.

The transition to LEED v4 will be a short-term growing pain, necessary to keep LEED on track with its mission statement. When the US Green Building Council introduced LEED back in 1999, the stated goal was market transformation. It is a noble goal with no exit strategy, except to keep on transforming the market. Until, presumably, our entire building stock somehow becomes net-resource-neutral, and we’re all eating [ 349 more words. ] http://www.ecotypeconsulting.com/transition-to-leed-v4/
