The founding members of Black Women Lawyers of Los Angeles represented in this painting were seated on the stairway of the restaurant that led to an a...rea that would later be the location of the first BWL Pre-Thanksgiving Cocktail Sip. Happy Thanksgiving!! The Old Fire Station by Errol Cook. A reboot of one of my favorite historical paintings and the picture from which inspired it. I added and modified quite a few things that differ from the photo to the original painting to the newest painting. In the newest version I took some artistic liberties by adding more vibrant colors, a fire hose, shovel, axe, bricks, making the building generic and a, of course, a dog. Yes, the dog does have a helmet. The ori...ginal painting was done in oils whereas the reboot was done in oil and acrylic. It’s really fun to paint fire fighters. Please messenger me for inquiries.
