Beautiful clear beer and great flavor. They are doing direct to public sales within California and are on tap at Speakeasy Ales in San Francisco.
Paying homage to the victims of the great London beer flood this day in 1814. Eight people died from the initial flood and one died a couple days later from apparent alcohol poisoning. An gigantic wooden fermentation tank burst causing the flood.
If you haven’t heard, we have a new dark malt beyond Gas Hog! We are calling it Pitch! I believe a 10 block area or more could smell this one roasting.
Soon after posting our malt color comparison photo on April 8th, we determined there was no need to continue malting. We shuttered the malting operation temporarily. Glad to report that temporary was just that. We will begin malting again as there is positive indicators returning. Everyone stay safe during these uncertain times.
Here is a color comparison set of congress mashes of our current selection of malts!

This day started 4.5 years ago when indications suggested an expansion was in order. Had to mothball the project until a month ago due to altered needs. Received my new maltbed on April 1st and just started it's maiden malt batch. Hoping the need continues during these tough times.
Our taproom has shifted hours to Saturday 2-5pm. This timing coincides with Lassen Traditional cider and Celar Door cider. All naturally gluten free!
Our taproom will be open tomorrow (Friday) evening between 5:30 and 9:00pm.
So, the Chico summer heat is upon us! We have decided to close our taproom for the season due to the heat. We will reopen in the fall when temperatures moderate.
Soroptimist micro brewfest is gearing up. Should be a great day!
Eckert Malting and Brewing will be serving our gluten free beers once again at this incredible brewfest! We will have a new Amber Sour on tap for tasting and a new hoppy ale.
The art glass blowers next door are having a big auction tonight. They call it the "Buy it or break it" auction. I hate to see beautiful glass art smashed! Come down and have a pint and check out the drama next door! We are open 6-10pm.
Check out this awesome new beer sign my daughter hand crafted for the taproom! Yes, there is a new beer there! Ivy Street IPA was brewed for the first time a couple days ago and will be available in a couple weeks!
Planted some hops to beatify the area and hopefully provide some much needed shade for summer in Chico! Glass blowing is still going on next door on Fridays for a few more weeks.
