Today we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. If you can’t fly, then run. If you can’t run, then walk. If you can’t walk, then crawl. But ...whatever you do you have to keep moving forward. His actions and words continue to remind us to keep moving forward and trying even in the most difficult times. As a reminder, our offices will be closed today in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

In an effort to better understand the attitudes and needs of our community as it relates to COVID-19 vaccination, the Imperial County Public Health Department h...as crafted a short survey that should take a few minutes to complete. The survey is through survey monkey and available in both English and Spanish languages. Early Care and Education Programs distributed approximately 120 turkeys and Thanksgiving meal boxes across the county to families enrolled in ECEP programs. Thank you to the community organizations, businesses and churches that donated to make this possible. We believe it is our duty to serve the greatest needs in our community and we are thankful for this collaboration which allows us to share kindness and spread joy.

ECEP staff continue to provide PPE (personal protective equipment) and other supplies to family child care providers in our community. To all providers, thank you for all that you do for our kids!

It was a challenging but rewarding summer of online-learning for students at Kids R Us Preschool. Teachers and staff had a blast interacting with the students from home and would like to thank parents for being an amazing source of support during this transition to distance-learning.
