On Sunday 9/20/20 we lost a member of our lifeguard family. Andie Lindeman, a 5th year lifeguard, passed away. We want to take a moment to celebrate the contributions she made to our lifeguard service. During her 5 years at the East Bay Regional Park District, Andie kept the public safe during the summer while on duty at Contra Loma Regional Park. She showed promise from the very beginning and was awarded New Hire of the Year in 2016 for her outstanding performance and dedi...cation. In addition to her lifeguard duties, she was also an enthusiastic instructor who taught swim lessons for many years. Andie was a key player in helping the team representing our lifeguard service win at the 2017 USLA Pacific Northwest Regional Lifeguard Championships. Her strength, skill, and mental toughness led her to achieve the Women’s High Point Award that year. Andie was loved and respected by her Contra Loma staff because of her kindness, team spirit, and her great attitude. Her passing is a huge loss to our lifeguard service and Andie will be dearly missed. Our sincerest thoughts and prayers go out to her family, friends, and fellow lifeguards. See more
