According to U.S. Department of State guidance, USCIS is temporarily closing its field offices in Beijing and Guangzhou. We will reschedule all affected appointments and will send new appointment notices to applicants.

Non-USC/LPRs, their immediate relatives and others exempted under Section 2(a) of the Proclamation, who had visited China within 14 days of their application for admission, will be denied entry.

EB5 changes are finally here. The details will be published in FR tomorrow, Jul 24th; changes go into effect on November 21, 2019. The increased investment amounts - $900,000 and $1.8M - will have the greatest impact on investors. While $900,000 may seem palatable to many, it's likely that very few projects will be able to qualify for the reduced investment as USCIS will take charge of TEA designations. The effective date of Nov 21 is better than the suspected one of Sept 30. However, we still need to get through the hurdle of Sept 30 budget approval and the possible total shut down.
