Well, here's your big, bold, bruiser Paso Cabernet. Purple-ruby in the glass, the pink rim staining my glasses terribly. Pretty muffin-top cherry-ridden nose all plush and sexy, the fruit reduced down into chewy squares of licorice, molasses and oak. Lots of trash yesterday. Most of us had 2 or 3 very full bags. Besides trash we are finding a lot of cigarette butts. Pismo Beach has a No Smoking Ordnance. The... butts were everywhere. There are employees from businesses taking brakes and leaving there butts for others to pick up. Please pick up after yourself. Filters are not biodegradable. Saturday night we noticed someone let off Chinese lanterns in the sky. While beautiful to look at when they burn out they litter the beaches and ocean with metal rings. We cleaned them up also. We also cleaned up plastic confetti left by gender reveal parties. Please pack out what you take in. It would help keep our beaches and oceans clean. Also Dogs are not allowed on the pier. They have never been allowed on the pier. Thank you to all these dedicated people who come out on Sunday mornings and help keep our beaches and streets clean. You all are the best. Hard to believe this thing has 7 years on it, but that's the way Petite Sirah is. For decades relegated to the files of Cornas and Hermitage as wines literally "undrinkable" at under 10, it has always intrigued me young and the styles have definitely become more approachable--like the other two mentioned--early on.
