Low-income San Diego families who have experienced financial hardships due to the COVID-19 pandemic can begin applying Monday for one-time emergency financial help to pay their rent. The program, which the San Diego Housing Commission is administering for the city, will provide up to $4,000 per household to help eligible families and individuals pay past-due and upcoming rent. The public can apply for the program through August 7 at http://covidapplication.sdhc.org

Children will need... to be present to receive meals, and each child 18 years and younger may take one lunch and one breakfast for the next day. There will be no congregate feeding; all food is to be taken and consumed offsite.
