Something for you all to share with your clients and your friends.
Ok, it's national boom-cookies and xanax night. Are you all set up? Have your leash handy, and your tags on your dogs? I'm seeing way too many lost dog posts a...lready in my feed. Even if you have a yard, just go out on leash and keep your collars and tags on in the house even if you don't normally. You never know. A lost dog is a horrible thing, but a lost dog tonight could get really disoriented and panicked. Remember: boom, cookie, boom, cookie, boom, cookie. :) See more
We've seen an increase in fireworks in Oakland and the surrounding areas over the past week and with the July 4th holiday coming up, we can expect them to conti...nue. We know they're stressful for both humans and pets. In order to help keep your pets as safe as possible, here are our recommendations. There are also some great recommendations from the Veterinary Information Network in the attached graphic - Isolate pets indoors at home; they will be happier and not tempted to try to get away during loud sounds. - If your dog is crate trained, put her in a crate covered with a blanket to make her feel more secure. - Create a peaceful environment in your home, play soothing music and lower the blinds to block outside sights and sounds. If your pet seems anxious, spend time with her soothing him with a calm voice. - Even if your pet is indoors with you, double-check yard gates and doors to make sure that pets cannot escape. - Make certain pets are wearing identification, including the name and current telephone number of the owner. Confirm that your pet’s microchip registration information is registered or updated.
