Here's information on how to regrow veggies from your kitchen or compost scraps. Great science experiment to do during the Coronavirus.
Simple learning tools...regrowing veggies from food scraps. There's so many you can regrow, this is just 2, I think there's upwards of 16-20. Try it and have your children (students) keep a daily growth journal. Enjoy ~
This carving of a mother bear and her cub are found at the Clayton Creek, right downtown Clayton. What a fun discovery.
Jenna, my new spinning student, in her beginning stages of learning spinning. Your student can learn as well, just give me a call to set up a class @ 980-0996
Hello...to those who have just found this page on Facebook, and are checking in from time to time, welcome! I have taken some time off from classroom teaching, taking time to rest and repair physical issues I've had on & off for years now. However, I am always interested in taking a small group on nature walks! You can find me on the trails at Round Table (Clayton), Regency Gate in Clayton, Rock City, Mt. Diablo is beautiful this time of year. There is the Benicia State ...Park, as well as Mitchell Canyon Open Space (Clayton), and a great bird watching location, Waterbird Park in the Martinez, Pacheco area. http://www.ebparks.org/parks/waterbirdvv Don't forget about (in our own backyard), Big Break Regional Shoreline. Let me know if I can put together a nature walk for you & yours today! If you would like references please let me know. I was the director of the PSP at Contra Costa Christian Schools for 9 years, and have been a Teaching Aide at Antioch Charter Academy for going on 9 years this school year, 2019-2020. Teaching children about God's incredible creation is a passion of mine. Contact: Sue Solnok, [email protected] 925-980-0996 (leave a message & I will return you call)
Thinking about my own homeschooling days today, wondering how many of you have ever been introduced "officially" to Charlotte Mason? The Lord used many of Charlotte's ideas to free us from "just doing academics" at home to learning in a more natural way. She was the "Montessori" of England. Here is a great resource about Charlotte Mason. http://simplehomeschool.net/7-characteristics-of-a-charlot/
