This is one of the most common mis...takes I see a lot of business people make. Are you always after the biggest account? The most impossible client? The biggest gains? That's what I call, "Hunting Dinosaurs." The truth is, the way to accomplish your big dreams in business is to hunt rabbits and not dinosaurs. Rabbits are the regular accounts... The deals you may not get so excited about. Dinosaurs are those DREAM clients, master accounts, golden opportunities... Don't get me wrong, its OK to hunt that dinosaur account, but be careful to not miss out on the abundance of rabbits all around you. You should be spending 90% of your time hunting rabbits and 5% - 10% of your time hunting dinosaurs. Just like in sports, not every swing needs to be a homerun! Not every pass needs to be a touchdown! Sometimes you just need a single or a double... or a first down to get the momentum going and WIN! There is a reason why dinosaurs are extinct and rabbits abound on earth. You are FAR MORE LIKELY to catch a rabbit than a dinosaur!
