Lest we forget The War Horse Memorial on the roundabout outside Ascot Racecourse pays tribute to the millions of horses, mules, and donkeys who served in WW1. Remembering the fallen, both equine and human.

As apart of our virtual Veterans Day outreach, we produced this in remembrance of the origins of Veteran's Day - November 11, 1918, Armistice Day. "Welcome Home" to all of those who served our nation. Happy Veterans Day. #WW1 #thegreatwar #eaglefieldfoundation #veteransday

Our hero Doc. Last night, we lost one of our own. Elheran Doc Francis joined the EFF in 2017 bringing with him a wealth of professional and personal experience to our volunteer ranks. Doc - as he was affectionately known by our volunteers - served as a Navy Corpsman in the 1980s and 90’s. Doc was deployed to the Gulf in support of Operation Desert Shield and saw action with the USMC in Operation Desert Storm. Among our volunteer corps, Doc was mentor, an educator, a story... teller, and most of all - a dear friend. On long hot work days, Doc could be found reminding the staff to hydrate and looking after the wellbeing of all of us. At events, Doc was a teacher and a cornerstone veteran program. Crowds of adults and children would surround him to listen to his lectures on combat medicine, field triage, and the employment of medical vehicles in a combat operation. He was true professional with a kind and open heart for all he came in contact with. Doc Francis was someone we all aspire to be - kind, hard working, and honest. We will forever cherish the memories we have with him. Thank you Doc, we love you and miss you. The Eagle Field Foundation Volunteers -
