2020, what a year. This was supposed to be a year filled with big things and accomplishments. Classes were growing, the competition team was on a huge roll and ready to compete internationally, The Academy was ready to introduce new black belts, and the growth and positive vibes we’re radiating every day. All of a sudden a wall of adversity hit our lives. We were all impacted in one way or another. We were forced to change our way of living and the fear of the unknown seemed... to be getting the best of us. But together as a community and family we learned how to adapt and kept living life. Life still isn’t normal and the challenges are still around us but we are still pushing and fighting. We learned that life is short and how to appreciate the small things that we took for granted. If anything, 2020 has made us develop armor and wisdom to take on any challenge. As we go into the new year of 2021 there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel. Soon we all be back on the mats hungry to accomplish big things!!! But a lot more still has to be done!!! We have to stay vigilant, stay ready, stay positive, and keep living life!!! I’d like to thank all the students, parents, family, and friends of the dojo for the continued support! Your continued support has kept the dojo breathing. Whether it’s on Zoom or live outdoor classes, one or ten students in attendance, your presence is one of the main Motivational factors that kept me striving as an instructor. Together we will keep this positive momentum going into the new year!!!! Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.
