Saddened to learn about the passing of Susan Skaggs. She and Howard Johnston kickstarted my career in audio engineering, graciously offering me an internship at Different Fur Studios in 2003. Their guidance enabled me to meet and work with many talented engineers, artists, and music industry pros. I'll remember Susan for her welcoming nature, her unequaled dedication to the music community, and her kindness to everyone.

#tbt 13 years ago today San Francisco Bay Area band Re:Ignition released their debut LP Empty Heart Loaded Gun on Corporate Punishment Records. A solid, hard rock alternative metal album from start to finish. Heavy guitar riffs, powerful vocals, timeless and thoughtful lyrics, and pummeling rhythms, with a sound still relevant today. One of my favorite rock albums ever, and one that I am grateful to have engineered on with bassist and producer Snake Green Recorded at Different Fur Studios in San Francisco CA, and Glenny’s Poohdio in Berkeley CA.
