STRUGGLE NO MORE! (Success Story) There are just not enough words to even say enough about how Vision therapy has worked for my 8yr old son. Before the daily struggle for homework was hours and meltdowns. Reading was not even an option. After all the therapy we now have a child begging to read chapter books. Spelling tests almost 100% and just all around a much happier and loving child. Thank You Dr. Chase and Ms. Castillo for all your work ...with Gavin. He always looked forward to coming here and never complained. Blessings, The Dominguez Family Patient: Gavin

Glaucoma Specialist In Torrance, CA (http://ow.ly/FW6t30ow9Ge) Early detection is key when it comes to glaucoma since it's a "silent" eye disease that doesn't present visible symptoms. The best way to catch glaucoma before it progresses? Schedule routine eye exams with Dr. Stephen Chase at Family Vision Care Center in Torrance, CA. Even if you have 20/20 vision, it doesn't guarantee immunity from diseases like glaucoma and macular degeneration, so it's still important to pr...otect the health of your vision with preventative care. #glaucoma #eyecare #eyedoctor #optometrist #torranceCA Stephen Chase, FCOVD, OD, is a second-generation optometrist and a long-standing pillar of the community in Torrance, California. Blurry Vision During Exercise (http://ow.ly/5z4030ow9DZ) If you're experiencing blurry vision during workouts, several factors could be at play. One common cause is low blood pressure, which can be brought on by dehydration, a lack of nutrients in the body, or an allergic reaction. Exercise can also cause blurry vision in those with pigmentary glaucoma. It's important to give yourself recovery time, drink ample amounts of water, and fuel your body before your workouts. It's ...also crucial to speak to your eye doctor about the issue to get to the root cause and rule out any serious underlying conditions. #blurryvision #visioncare #healthyeyes #eyedoctor #torranceCA

Nutrients To Boost Eye Health (http://ow.ly/Uc2u30ow9DV) Not a fan of carrots? Not to worry, there are plenty of other foods with nutrients that maintain optimal eye function and help protect you from age-related degenerative diseases. Lutein and zeaxanthin, too, play a central role in protecting your eyes from the sun, and usually occur together ...in foods like kale, parsley, pistachios, green peas, and red grapes! Eating foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin C, vitamin E, and zinc are also beneficial for your eyes! #healthyeyes #visioncare #eyedoctor #optometrist #torranceCA

Why Is My Eye Twitching? (http://ow.ly/dp1E30ow9DM) Eye twitching most commonly happens as a result of stress. It may be a good indicator that you need to reduce stress in your life and carve out some self-care time, whether that means journaling, spending time with friends, taking a bubble bath, or curling up with a cup of tea. Lack of sleep is another common cause of this issue. Eye strain, caffeine, alcohol, dry eyes, nutritional deficiencies, and allergies are other pot...ential triggers. Typically, eye twitching is harmless and lasts only a few minutes, but it's important to talk to your eye doctor if you experience persistent twitching, as it could signal a more serious neurological condition. #eyetwitching #healthyeyes #eyedoctor #optometrist #torranceCA
