Prolonged pacifier use can lead to problems with your child's tooth development and alignment. It is typically recommended that children stop using pacifiers by the age of three or four, if not earlier!

OUR OFFICE IS OPEN and we could not be more EXCITED to begin caring for your children again!!! To help ensure we maintain the highest level of safety for our staff and patients please review the following appointment guidelines: 1. Please have your child/children brush their teeth before the appointment as we will no longer have a brushing station. 2. When you arrive, please wait in your vehicle and call us at 510-724-4400 or text us at 510-390-7075 and we will call or text y...ou as soon as we are ready for your child's appointment. 3. We will be screening everyone for COVID-19 symptoms prior to your arrival and entrance into the office. 4. We will take the temperature of your child/children prior to bringing them back 5. Masks are required for any person entering the office. 6. It is preferable that only your child come in for their procedure; however, if your child is very young or anxious and needs a parent present, we will allow one parent. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate any additional individuals into the office (including a second parent, siblings, etc.) 7. We will ask your child to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer upon entering the office. 8. We have installed barrier guards to separate you from our front office staff. 9. Checking out will either be done remotely by phone or through the barrier with our staff with no contact. 10. We will be using new PPE, including N95 or surgical masks, gowns, face shields, and eye protection. 11. We have temporarily removed all magazines, toys, and other items from the office to prevent cross-contamination. 12. As always, our instruments are sterilized after each use or discarded if disposable. 13. The disinfectant we use is EPA-regulated and kills, viruses, bacteria, and other pathogens in 1 minute. If we work together, we can keep healthy while keeping your children's smile healthy!
