We’ve been busy these last few nights preparing for our office expansion! First step was to help move about 10k patient charts from the suite next door, so that those doctors can move out, in order for us to expand into their suite. Deb and I called in our boys for backup. These late nights and months of planning will all be worth it when we can offer our patients an elevated, more luxurious experience. We can’t wait to make our dreams a reality with more treatment rooms, services and work spaces! Also, Waters Moving in Martinez was so kind to let us use their tote bins to haul the charts, highly recommend the.

Thankful to have just gotten my first COVID-19 vaccine dose and look forward to the second dose in 21 days! This is what we’ve been waiting for, a sign of hope, a sense of peace, a beginning to end this pandemic and return to normal. Proud to have done my part to protect myself and my patients as well as support science. Thank you to everyone who contributed research, who participated in trials, who delivered the vaccine to John Muir, and to the staff that gave me my dose. You’ve given more than a shot, you’ve given us a chance at living a normal life again soon! I look forward to when my family, friends, staff and patients all get the vaccine like I did.

Happy patients make for happy surgeons! This patient’s beautiful hourglass figure was hidden by excess skin from her pregnancies. We achieved this transformation by removing the excess skin, tightening the abdominal muscles, and crafting a more youthful belly button.

You’re looking at the newest IFR pilot! Very thankful to have passed my checkride yesterday after a few months of training. I can now fly through clouds/weather and am no longer limited to clear blue skies. Big thanks to my instructor, my examiner, and Deb for supporting me in this pursuit! Also, if you can’t tell from the Northstar apparel, I can’t wait to ski this weekend. I’ve missed it.

On Thursday we achieved a milestone of 10,000 days of marriage! A few months ago, my oldest son and I were asking Siri how many days had passed since random events when I realized we were approaching this big day. I managed, with a little help, to surprise Deb with our first night out since March and a beautiful ring from The King’s Jewelers. It was a special time to reflect on the years we’ve had and the love that has only grown between us!

Breast Reconstruction after a mastectomy is the most rewarding procedure we can do for a patient. We are humbled & grateful to join such an intimate journey and use our skills to help women recreate their breast in its original shape. Today is World Smile Day! This patient had a big smile when she saw the results of her abdominoplasty (AKA Tummy Tuck) and we hope this day gives you a reason to smile too!

Our youngest is all moved into his dorm at U of O. He’s starting his freshman year and we couldn’t be prouder of him! Such a fun weekend trip up to Eugene to celebrate this milestone and get him ready for the year. He and Deb went fishing, we ate good food, and enjoyed our time together. We love you, Aidan! Go Ducks!

Back when I was a newspaper delivery boy in Pinole, I knew I wanted to be a surgeon just like my father. Nowadays when I look at an issue of New Beauty magazine, I am surprised & humbled to see myself on a two-page spread.
