Here is a quick and useful tip for reading psych reports. Each time we receive a psych report to critique, one of the first things we do is review the five possible sources of data in the report. At that point we consider, Do the data in those five areas support the diagnosis? Once it has been determined that the diagnosis is unsupported, there is absolutely no support for the conclusion that the patient has a mental injury, a mental disability or a need for treatment.
