Sabrina Fish, AMFT and Taylor Addison, AMFT are excited to present - "The Empowerment Series" - a workshop and process group for teen girls seeking to find & understand themselves. The group starts at the end of January for girls ages 14-17. The Empowerment Series will focus on a variety of topics relating to self-discovery. This group will be part workshop and part process, meaning participants will engage in activities that are more hands-on and then they will process the topics too. If you are interested in learning more about the group please email [email protected] or call 310-913-3652.

I am very excited to announce the newest addition to my private practice. Catherine Alvarado, AMFT, joins our team as a highly skilled clinician who specializes in working with adults, adolescents, couples and families. Read all about her below! Catherine Alvarado, M.S., AMFT Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist... We live in a society where people in the pursuit of perfection and happiness feel pressured to achieve a certain standard in everything from education, career, beauty ... you name it! My multi-dimensional approach encourages you to relearn the lost art of self-care by focusing on three important aspects: healthy mind, healthy body, and healthy spirit. Therapy sessions are designed to be a safe space for you to explore and empower your inner voice. I want to help you achieve your goals all the while inspiring you to live, learn, and lead with authentic purpose. Education and Experience I earned a B.A in Psychology from Loyola Marymount University and went on to earn my M.S. in Counseling Psychology from Mount Saint Mary’s University. I am a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT). During my undergraduate years, I worked with Project Touch Teen and Family Counseling in Hermosa Beach where I was able to co-facilitate group counseling with teens. At MSMU I provided career counseling and created career development programs to provide college students with opportunities to achieve their personal and professional goals. With The Ness Counseling Center I completed my traineeship by conducting therapy and coordinating services with allied agencies to ensure the best treatment. From there I worked with college students at Otis College of Art and Design as the Operations Manager for their Student Health and Wellness Center where I triaged and scheduled for the counseling and medical providers on campus. Most recently I was a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in Arcadia for a group private practice called Soultenders where I conducted individual and family therapy. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help challenge maladaptive thoughts and incorporate mindfulness skills into daily routines. I am especially experienced working with college students, young adults, adolescents, and families. I have addressed concerns related to the following areas and more: Depression, Anxiety, Interpersonal Resolutions, Grief and Loss, Safety and Risk Assessment, Trauma, Life Transitions, Identity Development and Personal Growth, Self-Esteem and Self-Care, Body Image, Shame and Self-Compassion, Communication Skills, Conflict Resolution, Career Counseling and Higher Education, Mindfulness and Meditation.
