Pawsome pupdate- we love these happy endings. Bolt, now named Joey, was adopted by his amazing Foster mommy Gail. Joey transformed into a trusting and loving pup because of the love Gail gave him. She knew her was finally home with her. Joey picked Gail, and Gail accepted This is Joey’s story, told by Joey himself: I was taken to jail (I mean the San Bernardino Animal Shelter) by my owner with my sibling. We were so scared and afraid. We didn’t know why our owner ...didn’t want us anymore. We overheard the shelter staff say, Oh no, another tan chihuahua? We already have so many here. I looked around, and the shelter staff was right. There were so many tan chihuahuas just like me. Some were very friendly and cute and they looked like they would get picked to be adopted or rescued. Then, my sibling got adopted and I was left by myself! I was so stressed out and sad! After 20 days of being in jail, DTAR, sent my guardian angel foster mommy to get me out! I was so happy, but not sure what was going on. Well, then I started not feeling very good. Turns out I contracted terrible Kennel Cough! I got very sick. DTAR provided all the medical care I needed, and I pulled through like a champ. My foster mommy was very gentle and kind to me. She knew that I was scared and needed some time to adjust. I slowly learned to trust her and felt safe in her home. We developed a bond and I gave my foster mommy the look. She knew what the look meant. She knew I was finally home and I picked her. So my foster mommy contacted DTAR to let them know that she wanted to adopt me. DTAR, my mommy, and I were all so happy!!! Now I help my mommy with the new fosters who come to our home. I show them the ropes and I tell them my story. My story helps them feel better. I’m so happy that I can now help other shelter dogs. See more

Pupdate- Max, formerly Scout from the SBC shelter was adopted by his foster family Candy and her husband! Candy approached Dream Team to Foster because Max was on the euthanasia list due to being fearful at the shelter. Candy couldn’t make it to the shelter in time, so she sent her daughter Breanna, who drove over 3 hours round trip, to pick up Max. They were determined to make sure Max would not be euthanized. What a family! Then they fell in love with him and decided that h...e was finally home. Thank you Hayden for connecting us. Max loves playing with sister Jasmine who was also adopted from a shelter. He also has a fur brother Skeeter, and three rabbit siblings Leonard, Lucy, and Penny. The grand dog comes over to play with Max too. Candy sends us updates often telling us how amazing Max is and how much they love him.
