Sold Congratulations to my client on the sale of his amazing Latigo Canyon home that he had the vision to build in 2011 after purchasing the land for $56,000 in 1999. Just like the long windy road up the canyon it hasn’t been an easy ride but once you get to the top and see the spectacular views you realize it was all worth it. This has definitely been the most challenging and rewarding transaction of my career. I started working on this property before the Woolsey Fire in... the middle of 2018 as a lease listing. After the fire had burned down several neighboring homes and much deliberation we pivoted to get the house ready for sale. I took countless trips along the coast and up the canyon going into the smoke filled house to move things along with insurance adjusters and every contractor imagineable (well, septic, smoke mitigation, pool, plumber). Once we were in escrow things didn’t get any easier as we had to deal with non performing buyer’s, a crash in the stock market, mold remediation, negotiating backup offers from the other side of the world and last but not least a Pandemic. However, at the end of the day we were able to complete the sale in an unprecedented time with a family that will cherish their dreamhome for years to come. See more
