Fun classes with great friends.
I am so proud of my black belts today. We lost a student who is very dear to us. We also had some additional rough news today, and we were hurting tired and drained. It has been a long while since we have all felt battered at once. Today they showed what they are made of. We came together for classes tonight even though it may have been easier just to have stayed home. They had strong spirit of the martial arts, and when things got very rough the embraced their training to help them handle it. The mark and mindsets of those who are truly embracing the way.
From all of us to all of you.
Great private lesson today with GM Daniel. Thank you sir.Great private lesson today with GM Daniel. Thank you sir.
Day 12 of the Ninja challenge: All is going well. I am meeting most of the requirements. Sometimes my body will not sleep 6 hours. Exercise was fun today. I trained with my long staff doing drills with 2 other black belts and did a 30 minute late night walk. Blood sugar remains stable. Reading more than 10 pages of non fiction. It remains a fun challenge.
Great students. They have been hanging in through zoom, breezeway training, classes in the park. No matter what they hold true. I am privileged to be your teacher.
Day 10 of the 30 day challenge. It has been a great day. Sticking to the framework of the challenge. Water intake very good. Did a cardio kickboxing class and did a nice long nighttime walk with the dog. The book I am reading is great and full of women being strong and courageous as they face life's journey. Blood sugar has responded well to this challenge and is doing really well. I still miss bread sometimes, but not that much.
Day 9 of the challenge. It was a good for keeping some goals. I continue to read book daily. It has so many talks of people who have overcome things to be strong. My blood sugar was in double digits 95 which is very good for my blood sugar. Water in take was excellent. Fun cardio kickboxing class, and a nice 11pm walk with the dog. Sugar has not been too hard to give up, bread is more of a challenge. Had a great garden salad for dinner with out the croutons. Over all a great day.
Day 12. Holding fast to the program.
Be mindful of what you accept as truth. You become what you believe what you accept for better or for worse. I don't know the author of this statement, but it is very true and very powerful.
Day 7 of Ninja challenge: All continues to go well. Doing my best on meeting the requirements. Some days my body will just not sleep 6-8 hours. Most days I have challenging workouts, but today's 30 minutes of exercise was a nice walk in the park with the dog. Tomorrow will be a great 90 minute Tenio DeCuerdas Diestro Eskrima class. I am looking forward to the training with GM Ziazon. We go some great clam chowder tonight from the sourdough restaurant. It was a new experience telling them no bread with the soup. Blood sugar is continuing to be in acceptable levels. Miss sugar a little bit but not too much. I am loving the books I am reading. Good night to all.
