A recent DMHS graduate, Kayla Garcia, was featured on the LAist! Reading her story is inspirational as she is the perfect example of a hard working student who goes above and beyond, we feel so proud of Kayla. Unfortunately, the pandemic has affected her and many other of our students. In this upcoming school year we will strive to better accommodate to online instruction. https://buff.ly/3872iGe
In-person school has been cancelled this fall, but that should not stop you from bonding with your friends, here are some games you can play over Zoom or any video chat! Also, to all our incoming freshmen and current students many of our clubs have their own social media pages where they will post their own online events! Don't be afraid to follow them and be involved online!
Hi all our students, LAUSD schools will not be opening this fall due to safety concerns. We hope you understand the decision as cases of COVID-19 are skyrocketing, it is important to continue to keep our students healthy. We will be doing our best in making online instruction as helpful as we can make it.
Be inclusive. High school is a great time to form life long friendships and bonds, don't be afraid to reach out to each other, build those bridges!

AP Scores are out today, check your scores on College Board. Congratulations to all our students who took an AP test, they are rigorous and very challenging. Whether or not you did as well as you wanted to we are so proud of you and remember that scores do not define intelligence. Keep growing!
Although we didn't enjoy a fashion show this year, we know how talented our students are. Just look at this clip from the 2018 fashion show featuring DMHS models and clothes made by DMHS students!

Juniors, this summer is a good time to start researching the colleges and universities you would like to attend and look into their admissions requirements such as personal statements. If you are looking for help in improving your writing skills Quill is offering free services! https://buff.ly/1Z6kwwB
Many of you may have heard that the UC system has dropped their SAT requirement, but should we still take it? It's worth a shot when many other great schools still require it. P.S. Khan academy has great free videos to help you study!
