Long before DOSA opened as the first modern, South Indian restaurant in San Francisco in 2005, there was Floyd Cardoz (@floydcardoz) also from my hometown of Bombay, who founded Tabla in 1998 with Danny Meyer (@dhmeyer) in NYC, the first of its kind in the U.S. He was a pioneering force in the culinary scene and was the first to give our cuisine the high respect it deserved! .
