Oops, we forgot to say on our voice mail and front door, we’re closed today, Jan 8, 2021 because Doc is visiting his parents and brother in Alabama for the weekend only. We’ll be back Monday, Jan 11. Thank you for understanding. Doc’s wife and adult kids stayed home in Modesto this time.

Can chiropractic adjustments prevent you from getting COVID-19? Make no mistake, the answer is NO. However: (Thank you Dr. Carr) It is a good idea to receive regular frequent chiropractic adjustments (according to Dr. Donald Pero's, PH. D., Chief of Research at New York's Preventative Medical Institute and Professor of Medicine at New York University). Dr. Pero's research study of 107 individuals who received LONG TERM chiropractic care. Chiropractic patients had a remar...kable 200% greater immune competence than those who didn't receive chiropractic care. Despite a wide range of ages in this study, immune competence did not show any decline with age and remained uniform for the entire group. It is for this reason that patients are encouraged to keep their chiropractic appointments to increase their immune system defenses and protect against all infectious diseases. Existing patients are encouraged to keep their adjustment appointments and to consider an increase in their frequency in their adjustments to maximize their immune and nervous system function. COVID-19 clinic protocols involve social distancing during your clinic visit. Our large reception area allows for 6 feet distance between patients entering and exiting our clinic. Additionally our frequent disinfection protocols and procedures have always been in place. Our clinic facility allows patients to be adjusted without coming near other patients. Dr. Dooley will disinfect hands and tables in between patients. Protect and confine your aged and at risk loved ones and minimize any public contact especially with those that have chronic illnesses such as: cardiovascular disease, lung disease, immune disease, and/or diabetes. Practice excellent hygiene which involves frequent washing of hands for 60 seconds in hot water with lathering soapy disinfectant hand soap. Hydrate with 2-3 pints of pure fresh water per day. Eliminate intake of any processed foods and increase fresh fruits, vegetables, and high protein food sources. Vitamin and mineral supplements are always an excellent idea, but even better now. If you have a fever, shortness of breath, and cough immediately report to a local medical facility for COVID-19 testing and if necessary treatment and quarantine. Limit public exposure to the essential workplace employees and activities such as visits to your Doctor of Chiropractic and/or other health care professionals, grocery shopping, and buying necessary supplies. As always, it is important to follow the best practices for staying healthy. ie. wash your hands, cover your mouth when you cough of sneeze, clean frequently used surfaces etc. BUT REMEMBER!!!! Most people that come into contact with a germ, do NOT get sick because of it. The reason is, just as seeds will not grow without good soil, germs cannot express themselves in a healthy body. So the solution is: don't let your body be fertile ground for germs to take hold....
