Rehab Project - Final Cut All told, it took just over 30 days. About a week longer than we'd hoped, but really not too bad. We're happy to have gotten it wrapped up before Christmas. Really happy with the results for a quick and simple rehab. Here's a list of what we did: -Paint and flooring throughout -New master bath complete -New vanity, mirror and toilet in guest bath... -Cabinetry painted throughout -Added recessed lighting in living room, kitchen and guest bedroom -Removed DIY closet/desk in guest bedroom -New fan in master and light fixture in entry -New plugs and light switches -New door knobs -New furnace and a/c (not sexy, but super necessary) The big ticket items were the master bath and the HVAC system, but they were well worth it. What makes you thankful? For the last six months or so I've been thinking a lot about the backyard dinners we had in Azusa when I was growing up. My parents had this round, fiberglass table that held 8 people, 10 in a pinch. All good things happened at that table. Memorial and Labor Days, Mother's and Father's Days, 4th of Julys and most of our birthdays, since all four of us were summer babies. Dad's barbecue chicken, Mom's macaroni salad, corn on the cob, fresh st...rawberries... I miss those balmy, summer nights after hanging out in the pool all day. I miss those dinners, but mostly I miss having the people who shared that table in my life everyday. I wish I had pics of everyone who enjoyed my parents' pool deck hospitality over the years, but you know who you are. They liked nothing better than sharing a meal with friends and family.
