"Tango for Tatas" is a creative FUNdraiser for Breast Cancer research! Everybody loves tatas! From the moment we are born, they are a major presence in all of ...our lives. And perhaps nowhere more so than in Argentine Tango, where people are locked in a close embrace, chest to chest. Yet, despite our love and adoration for them, they continue to be stalked by cancer. One in 8 women will develop the disease, and one in 36 will die from it. Though inroads have been made for a cure, more research is needed. Dear Friends! No words can describe how thankful Dmitry and myself feel for all the love and support everyone has shown us and "DIVO" Milonga last night at what has turned out to be a fantastic event! These seven years of running DIVO have had their ups and downs, but the experience of being part of our wonderful Los Angeles Tango community and being able to bring the joy of music and dancing to everyone, to watch tango veterans enjoy themselves as well as new dancers emerg...e,go on to become diligent students and become great tangueros and tangueras, has undeniably been an honor and a privilege. We would like to thank everyone who have helped us over the last 7 lucky years! Thank you to our fantastic helpers Shearon Bogdanovic, Iren Tu, Nataliya 's Tangodelaluz, Lily Panayotti, Ilona Living Tango!
