I was honored to be a small part of something beautiful tonight. It was so special and so sweet. Kinda nice to see a young couple just starting out as my hubby and I celebrated our 23rd anniversary last week. #anniversary

Please join us for a memorial service to celebrate the life of Theodore Bernard Switzer. We will gather together on October 16th, at 11:00am at Clovis Hills Community Church, 10590 North Willow Ave, to celebrate the loving husband, extraordinary father, friend, and brother who was always the life of the party and shepherd for those in need. Everyone who ever met Ted knows there is a bright light in our lives that will never be replaced. Ted Switzer had always requested that his funeral be a celebration of his life and faith in Christ, and not a sad occasion but one of hope so we please request all in attendance bring a story to share of this great man and help us laugh through our pain.

At 8:35pm, Ted went to be with the lord. He leaves a huge hole in his wake. He loved so large and loved so loud. He was so confident in his faith. His last 6 years while he went through treatments, his mission was to share Gods love with every person he was with. God now has him wrapped in his arms and he is wearing his crown. He is probably teaching Jesus some golf tips, giving Abraham stock advice, and holding bible studies for newcomers. Amazon’s stock just lost its best... customer. We will be receiving packages for days to come. Just today we received 2 - 24 packs of super glue. Not sure the purpose of that, but I will cherish each new package as a gift sent directly from him. We will be grieving together for a few days before we decide plans for his service. I still can’t believe that this larger than life man is no longer with us. All of us that know him have lost a light. Sometimes that light was really bright and shining directly into your eyes, but we loved it just the same. My world will never be the same without my dad. Thank you all for your prayers. They wrapped us in comfort and will continue to do so for weeks to come.

The enigma that is my father. This man has lived such a large life. He is so full of love and energy. He is so ornery and complicated and strong. I am at a loss that we are in this place with him. We are praying for a miracle. We are praying for God’s will and grace. I will need grace from my clients. We are battling a war right now. I am doing my best to keep up with my work while we are in this crisis. Please accept my apologies if I have not responded in a timely manner. God is with him and us now; your prayers are heard and felt.

It’s fall y’all! It got about three degrees cooler and I’m ready for sweaters, yellow and orange leaves, pumpkin pie, and fall family portraits. Anyone else???

Tahoe may be one of my favorite places to shoot. EVER. The blue water, incredible sunsets, Jeffrey Pines, and our amazing models! It was a great weekend! @taylor.darlingg came all the way from Oregon to shoot with @jenniferbarnesphotography I was able to sneak in a few images of her as well! So much fun! And the Golden Eagle decided to play along with us as well! BONUS.

Ok, ok! Three posts in a day! That’s a lot for me! But you guys have loved these images almost as much as I have enjoyed creating them. @miaweiss1 was such a trooper! Such a joy to be around! Thank you for being a part of this weekend Mia! We all just fell in love with you! There was so much fun and laughter sprinkled throughout the weekend. I may have to do a bloopers and outtakes video.... but Mia has to agree...

HEY 2021 SENIORS! Want to know a secret? I am going to be offering Adventure sessions this year! How exciting will that be? To say I had fun in Tahoe this weekend on our adventure Is an extreme understatement. The ADVENTURE was EPIC... I got to teach and learn with a group of photographers and in between learning we were shooting, and climbing, and falling, and drowning (lol) With Covid, I didn’t realize how much I was missing my adventures. Don’t worry, we were safe! Social distance was in full effect. But we didn’t let Covid stop us. It was a GLORIOUS WEEKEND!
