The historic year of 2020 is thankfully coming to an end. The time for blessings, fellowship, compassion and empathy is upon us like never before. At Digs we hope you and your family find a place in your hearts and homes to practice these things while taking care of yourselves. It's funny, there's an airline safety warning I've heard for years that applies so well to these times. "...in the event of loss of cabin pressure, a mask will drop down. Place the mask over your nose and mouth and breath normally. Remember to put on your own mask first before assisting others around you with theirs..."Hope and Cheer to you all for the coming year!

Well, it's time to post my kitten story. About 4 months ago a feral cat showed up at my house. I call her feral because she wouldn't come near me and hissed and ran every time I got within 20 feet of her. Wasn't long before I noticed her getting thin. I decided I better feed her before she starved to death. Time passed and one morning she bestowed upon me 3 kittens. Oh, great. 4 feral cats. They were now living in my carport. Over the next couple of days one of the kittens d...isappeared. I have to admit I was sad, but a little relieved, too. I still couldn't get close to any of them. I had noticed that sometimes the kittens would run up under my car as a hideout. I took care to get a visual on the kittens in the morning before getting in my car. One morning I got to work at my shop on D St. and as I started to get out of my vehicle I looked down and a kitten ran out from under my car. How could that be? Now is when I should tell you that I live 18 miles from my work. To shorten this story I'll just say that after much effort to capture the little thing it ran into the Antique Mall, and it took several of us 4 hours to capture it. I thought it a good idea to get a crate, so I got in my car to go and get one and heard a loud meow coming from my car. Apparently both kittens had taken the perilous 18 mile ride under my vehicle. This one I grabbed as it ran out. I still can't believe those little beings survived the trip to town. I moved them into the guest bath and that's where they live now. They are about 12-14 weeks old. I male and 1 female. They've gone from being terrified of me to little love bugs. They've had their shots (1st round) and soon will be spayed and neutered. These kittens need a good home. I would like them to stay together. I didn't want to name them, but the vet got tired of Kitten 1 and Kitten 2, so I call them Buddy and Sis. Hello out there. Well, this afternoon I got a call that there is a "Summer Sidewalk Sale" happening in Historic Downtown Marysville. It's the first I've heard of it but okay, I'll play...We'll have some goodies out front with great prices. After all, it IS First Saturday.

Hi everyone! We are OPEN! Just wanted to give a quick update on our operating hours. Earlier I posted that we are back to regular business hours, but until things settle down a little, we will be OPEN Tuesday thru Saturday 10:30-5:30 and CLOSED Sunday and Monday. We are also asking that everyone entering Digs wear a mask. If you don't have one, we'll furnish one. Thanks for your continued support.
