To all of my trans feminine friends whose woman-ness is too often questioned, debated, or ridiculed: Happy international women's day. To all of the women out t...here who are not (yet or ever able to) be women in the world for whatever reason, happy international women's day. #TransWomenAreWomen

"'We are very inclusive in our definition of gender,' Klein said in a White House briefing Monday. 'We intend to address all sorts of discrimination and fight for equal rights for people, whether that's LGBTQ+ people, women, girls, men.'" #InternationalWomensDay #IWD #Transgender #LGBTQ #Queer #DignitySanFrancisco

"The idea that transphobia will boost turnout relies upon the GOP playbook of 2004, when anti-marriage equality measures helped turn out voters scared of same-s...ex weddings and that was an attempt to turn out the base, not to recruit voters who abandoned the party." #Transgender #Transphobia #Republicans #GOP #Discrimination #DignityUSA

"Anti-equality forces are attacking our families. They're attacking our children. They're attacking our dignity, and they're attacking our existence." Don't you think it's time to push for the end of the filibuster, President Joe Biden? #LGBTQ #Transgender #Queer #EqualityAct #DignitySanFrancisco

"Isn't there a reasonable expectation that if the person strongly supports this bill that he would want to welcome the end of the filibuster to see [the bill] go to his desk?" #EqualityAct #First100Days #LGBTQ #Queer #DignitySanFrancisco

Today’s #archivespotlight is the DignityUSA newsletter. Dignity USA is a national lay movement of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Catholics, their fam...ilies, and their friends. Dignity USA began in 1969 in Los Angeles under the leadership of Father Patrick Nidorf O.S.A, and Augustinian priest and psychologist. In 1973, Dignity USA became a national organization. As of 2021, there are 37 chapters in the United States. Dignity USA created a community in which participants can safely and openly worship with other LGBTQ+ Catholics, share spiritual and personal concerns, and work together on educational and justice issues. Dignity USA currently produces Dateline, a monthly news bulletin.
