Thinking about the first day of class? Here's a useful reminder. I've been doing something like this for a few years, and it has a significant effect on the classroom atmosphere, communicating that our class is a space of inclusion. However, I don't have as good a practice of renewing this question over time, and pronouns do change. Does anyone do a midsemester version, or have some other practice that works?
