Just finished this change out for a customer. When speaking with him before the job, he stated everything worked well. After closer look, we realized that unit was an illegal installation and had previously been installed somewhere else. I didn’t take pictures of the equipment that came out, but, it had sheet metal covering holes that ducts used to be tied into. The floor of the furnace closet had fallen through due to water damage and the walls were not dry walled. Rebuilt the floor and dry walled the walls with 5/8 fire code Sheetrock.
