How to Craft Your Wine Sales Message to Your Customers by Sharpening Your Empathy Skills: The images in this blog post are from yesterday’s walk in my yard, as I took a few moments to realign our current reality. They’ll ultimately make sense, once you’ve read through this public service message. https://www.wine-blog.org//how-to-craft-your-wine-sales-m/... Sample: La Pincoya ~ Quintessential Wines

Thrilled to have the opportunity to tell our PS I Love You story. The members of the group are the backbone of the effort to promote this very expressive grape variety. Those who enjoy it will tell you it's a favorite. For us, it's a passion. Jose Diaz is In the background, always ready to help in any way he can. Merisi Wines' own Mandy Donovan always finds the time to help promote Petite Sirah. Theodora Lee, with her Theopolis Vineyards is another GREAT asset. ... It's an honor to have the support we do, to promote this wine grape variety... Big Thanks to Marcia Macomber and KSVY Sonoma.

What a pleasure to be with Marcia Macomber. We were always on the other end of interviewing, when we were in radio in Portland Maine, for WBLM. Thanks, Marcia, for being so curious. You did your homework!

Wine Women Radio Hour ~ Yesterday, Jose and I were guests of Marcia Macomber and Misty Roudebush. We discussed what we're up to and then slipped into some ancient history, when Marcia took us back into our Rock N"Roll industry lives. A second taping followed, highlighting the Petite Sirah I Love You group we also manage. The one thing I have to say, with great deep respect -- Marcia really did some research, in order to host a redux of "Come on Down, Diaz's! This is Your Life...!" That takes a lot of passion and time, things to absorb, become curious about. Being interviewed, and/or interviewing, is a blast... I'm in PR. When I was behind a microphone, I was the one getting the answers. Then to have someone notice and turn the table, quite humbling with some storytelling. Second taping was for Petite Sirah I Love You. Theopolis Vineyards story was told with/by vintner/owner Theopatra Lee. And Merisi Wines was told with/by winemaker Mandy Heldt Donovan. Theodora (Theopatra) Lee: This Petite vintner/cheerleader... is so energized about Petite Sirah, and a one-woman show. She's the first to admit she loves being a vintner, while also keeping that day job as an attorney. I'm betting she's very persuasive in court. Whenever she gets called to do an event, she has one suit case for her and the rest are cases of wine, and she's on the road again. Her life as it relates to being a grape grower is that she's still living out her youth in agricultural and being on a tractor by the time she was eight years old. Her wines were tasting brilliantly, both the 2013 and the 2017...2013 feminine and 2017 masculine Petites, we sipped and listened. It makes sense that an attorney/vintner would balance both, right? Then Mandy Heldt Donovan of Merisi Wines... cracked us up with "When it came time to name the winery, I just couldn't imagine a name like 'Donovan' making sense for me," with a demure, little smirk. We all chuckled. Then she took us into an ancient history lesson, regarding the name Merisi. (I love this stuff!) Wiki on this one: "Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio was an Italian painter active in Rome, Naples, Malta, and Sicily from the early 1590s to 1610. His paintings combine a realistic observation of the human state, both physical and emotional, with a dramatic use of lighting, which had a formative influence on Baroque painting." We were transfixed and sipping her feminine Petite. Both programs will air in February, on Wine Women Radio Hour. Details will follow.

Hurrah! We've gone modern! Jose just finished refreshing our Diaz Communications site. Since he works on clients' sites and their marketing all of the time, we became pretty dated. Now we can expand on the refresh, most especially; but, at least we're much more current. Check it out, if interested.... https://diaz-communications.com/

In 2002, wine growers and producers of Petite Sirah said, during the first (annual) PS Symposium (we produced) at Foppiano Vineyards, "We need publicity for this variety. No one knows anything about it any more." So, we started Petite Sirah I Love You. At the time, there were only 62 growers and producers combined. Today, 17 years later, there are over 1,100, with acreage coming back since the 60-70, when Napa Valley rolled over into Bordeaux varieties. This is what collective marketing has done, as we continue to march onward and upward...

Today's video was solely produced by Jose Diaz, with Patrick Melley of Russian Hill Wines - Talawind Ranch. In this video, Patrick is talking about second crop grapes; and then having left some Sauvignon Blanc grapes on the vine. Check out why he's left fruit on the vine... two excellent reasons. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obFa-0FMeEE

Between travel to Europe (education with Georges Duboeuf and Château Roubine Cru Classé wines), rebuilding our own website - not yet launched, rebuilding Websites, lunch at the CK Mondavi & Family home, hanging out with friends while they're harvesting at ACORN Winery, creating and hosting a world class Petite Sirah event for Petite Sirah I Love You at The CIA at Copia, and creating videos for clients - like Russian Hill Wines - Talawind Ranch... We've been really busy and moving along at the speed of light. Here's a recap of sorts... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obFa-0FMeEE
