If you want to go see a home in person these days, you're going to need a pre-approval it's a letter from your lender stating what kind of loan you've been approved for (see my previous post on loans) and what your budget is I find that this is the most intimidating step for people, but it doesn't have to be! Once you have your documents sorted, your turnaround time should be fairly quick and you should have your pre-approval and be ready to shop for a home within a week or so. A pre-approval is usually good for 90 days, so it gives you plenty of time to find the right home & as always, if you have any questions let me know!
