Our target improvement program continues. Last week a new bale was installed at target 43. Today a new surround was installed to keep the bale stable. T 43 Cruse round.

Productive day at today's maintenance day. Got new targets put out, targets glued up, lots of trail maintenance and 4 bales changed out. We changed two bales in the practice area and two on the Cruse round (Target 47 and 56). Notably, target 56 was one of the more difficult to access. The bales weigh over 300 pounds and are unwieldly. Great job by the crew that did this, led by Sean. Thanks for everyone's efforts today! We also installed the new board and officers.

Check out the recent improvements on the range -- new steps that have been installed on the trail going from target 55 to 56. This trail was very slippery during the summer months. We've also installed the safety fence between target 30 and 31.

The Boo Shot has been cancelled due to the Red Flag danger in the area. Here's the message from the DB President: "Due to the Red Flag fire danger in the area the club is located in and PG&E’s plan to shut down the power in our area, the Diablo Bowmen Board and I have made the decision to cancel the Boo shoot.... "We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause anyone, but for the safety of the shooters and our Club it is the best decision.Do to the Red Flag fire danger in the area the club is located in and PG&E’s plan to shut down the power in our area, the Diablo Bowmen Board and I have made the decision to cancel the Boo shoot. On Monday June 10th, Quality Tree Service will be onsite to trim trees in the Target Bowl Area and around the Picnic Area. These areas will be closed to all traffic. The 3 current ranges will be open, but you will have to enter the areas by foot.
