The Buddha Day - Vesak Day: The message of peace, happiness, love, and mindful leadership The day of Buddha's birth is an event that marks a touching in the universe, phenomenon with a great historical nature of the interaction to the gods and mankind in the Earth.... We are living in the historical days of May, the month in which millions of monks, nuns and Buddhist in the world celebrate the Buddha Day - Vesak celebration. On Veskha Day, Buddhists all over the world commemorate events of significance to Buddhists of all traditions: The birth, enlightenment and the passing away of Gautama Buddha. The name of Vesak is derived from the Pali term veskha or Sanskrit vaikha, which is the name of the lunar month used in ancient India falling in AprilMay. In Mahayana Buddhist traditions, the holiday is known by its Sanskrit name (Vaikha) and derived variants of it. In Vietnamese it was called that day: Pht n - n sanh. In 1999, the United Nations resolved to internationally observe the day of Vesak at its headquarters and offices. Everywhere on this planet together with us, Buddhists who have been turning to this great event, are aiming to celebrate the cultivation of virtue, wisdom and compassion in our lives. The great event of the Buddha's birth is the message of peace, happiness, love, and mindful leadership, which has opened the way of that each person must overcome temptation, overcome the dominance of greed, overcoming anger with mindful art to contribute and build a peaceful and prosperous society. To establish the realm of peace, love, and prosperity, it is the path to help mankind to stabilize and develop in the present as well as in the future. Buddhism has been in the United States as well as the State of California and San Diego County as one of the first homes of American Buddhists. Buddhism is one of the great religious traditions in the world has interact into social life by the practice of compassion, wisdom and mindfulness.
