Rates update: Good bye 2's for now. This is today's chart of the 10yr notes which pretty much dictates the rate. The yields on the 10yr note have been rising which equals higher rates. 2's are still possible but will cost a pretty penny. If you have been prequalified to purchase a home last month you may want to revisit your approval before making an offer on a home. In some cases it can affect the amount you are able to qualify for. Good news is that in low 3's rates a...re still fantastic. I remember 18% rates in the 80's. My first mortgage was 12%. Yikes.... Free Legal Services Available for Low-Income Tenants and Landlords in San José Post Date: 02/25/2021 11:34 AM Low-income tenants and landlords in San José have access to legal services at no cost through the City-funded San José Housing Consortium.... The goal of the Housing Consortium is to increase housing stability and reduce the risk of homelessness for vulnerable residents. The importance of housing stability is particularly urgent during the current pandemic with health officials urging people to help slow the spread of COVID-19 by sheltering in place. Housing Consortium attorneys are able to help with many types of rental disputes, including evictions, lease violations, nonpayment of rent, housing discrimination, health and safety concerns, and rent increases. The Housing Consortium is funded by a grant from the City of San José Housing Department. The consortium is comprised of the Law Foundation of Silicon Valley, Bay Area Legal Aid, Senior Adults Legal Assistance, the Asian Law Alliance, and Project Sentinel. In addition to providing legal services, Housing Consortium attorneys host community meetings to educate tenants and landlords about their rights and obligations under current State and local laws.
