**URGENT UPDATE** Sunday 15, 6:30 pm Dear Devine Schoolhouse Families,... Yesterday I sent an email stating that Devine Schoolhouse would remain open during the Coronavirus situation and would continue to support our students learning. This afternoon I received an official email from one of our Charter Schools that they would no longer be honoring payments made to vendors for in-person classes and that only on-line learning would be honored. In addition, further restrictions are being placed on public gatherings in an effort to minimize the spread of the virus among the population. In an effort to continue to serve our students we are going to be using Google Classroom or another online teaching platform for all classes and tutoring sessions until April 3 when our charter schools are going to revisit the situation. There will be another email from us as soon as we can determine which classroom service we will be using and how to access these tools. I know that the students enjoy the interaction that they have with one another and will their instructors. We will do everything we can to return to teaching our students in person. This is a trying time for everyone and we thank you for your patience as we adapt to our changing situation. Thank you for understanding as this is an unprecedented situation for all of us. Dear Devine Schoolhouse Families, As our nation addresses the Coronavirus pandemic, we at the Devine Schoolhouse are aware of the measures many local schools are taking by closing. It is our desire to continue to offer our small classes to our limited number of students, therefore not disrupting our students' education and maintaining a reassuring sense of normalcy. We will deepen our efforts to contain exposure to the virus by wiping all surfaces with Clorox wipes before... students arrive in the morning, asking students to use hand sanitizer when they enter, mandatory handwashing at snack and lunch and wiping tables with Clorox between classes. As our student population is not identified as those most at risk and the building in which we meet is remaining open we will continue to be here for our students whose parents wish for them to attend. We will continue our tutoring schedule and will be here to support our families in any way we can during these unprecedented times. We are following recommended guidelines and will continue to monitor the risks and will update our plan as necessary.
