Conforming loan limits on single-family units will rise to $510,400 from $484,350 in most of the country on January 1, 2020. That is a 5.4% increase. Of the nation’s 3,142 counties or county-equivalents, 196 will have a conforming loan limit higher than the $510,400 baseline in 2020. The highest conforming loan limit will be $765,600 in 98 counties. In 40 counties, the conforming loan limit will not change in 2020. In every other county, the single-family conforming loan limit will be higher in 2020 than it is today.
VA loan limits are going away! This is a huge win for veterans nationwide. Removing the VA loan limits for qualified buyers helps veterans and service members stay competitive with conventional offers, as well as borrow more with no down payment. Please note down payment/equity requirements still apply when using second-tier entitlement. Funding Fee changes National Guard and Reserve buyers will now pay the same funding fee as Regular Military buyers. There's also a new fundi...ng fee exemption for Purple Heart recipients on active duty. All other funding fees for veterans without a disability rating are increasing slightly for the next two years. These changes take effect for all closings that occur on or after January 1, 2020. Some buyers might want to close before the end of the year to avoid higher funding fees. I just read thru the recently passed California AB 1482 Rent Control and this was my takeaway. Annual increases limited to 5% plus inflation Does not limit increases when property becomes vacant (vacancy control). ... Single family homes are exempt, except those owned by large corporations. New construction, multi-family, exempt for 15 years. If you have questions let me know and I’ll do my best to answer them for you.
This year should see the groundbreaking of a large retail development project on Bear Valley Road near Victor Valley College, which will include ALDI supermarket, Panera Bread and Les Schwab Tire store. The project is located on 11.6 acres on the south side of Bear Valley Road, and between Jacaranda Avenue and the Mojave River. The foot of the development includes a 54,366-square-foot retail development, three pads for a 3,500-square-foot building with a drive-thru and a 6,81...6-square-foot building for an AutoZone. Several Apple Valley residents told the Daily Press they were excited for the opportunity to venture west over the Mojave River to shop at ALDI and to eat at Panera Bread. The organic produce at ALDI is some of the best I’ve seen anywhere, said Katie McPherson, 39, who lives in Apple Valley. If you want to eat healthy, ALDI is the place to shop.
