Dear friends. Today we write to share sad news. Dennis Hepler, our Store Manager, has passed away from a non-COVID-related illness. Dennis started working at Desert Hardware as a young man almost 40 years ago, starting as a clerk and working his way up to Store Manager. For years now, Dennis has been the heart of Desert Hardware, giving a friendly welcome to old timers and new customers alike. We will miss him terribly. We already do. Desert Hardware will keep going, with t...he capable day-to-day management of Larry Hepler and with the assistance of store associates Kurt and Amanda. I have a feeling that Dennis and our store founders, Sam and Harriet Kodish, will be watching over us too. Summer is here and it is time for all our summer sales. Come on in and check them out. From the garage to the yard, we have you covered!!!!!!

We hope you all are staying healthy and safe. Our condolences to those affected by this horrible outbreak. We just want to let you know, while the state and county have lifted the mandate to wear a mask, we are still requiring you wear them to be in the store. We understand they are uncomfortable but we still require you wear it to ensure there is no rebound. We will post an update when they are no longer required. Until then stay healthy and safe!!!!!

It is official!!!!!! Now everyone must wear a face covering of some kind. The county of San Bernardino released the first page on their website last night. It is punishable by a fine or by 90 days imprisonment if you're caught. Please stay safe and stay at home if at all possible. If we can all follow directions, we can beat this virus, but we have to work together!!!!!

Due to this virus and its ability to spread like wildfire, we will only be open Monday - Friday from 8am to 5pm. No more Saturdays. Once this passes we should resume normal business hours. We are diong as much as we can to remain open as long as possible to serve all of your homes needs. The more we all stay at home, the faster this whole thing will go away. Stay safe and healthy.

We are still open and we will post if we decide to change hours. From here on out, for the time being, we will be practicing social distancing and we encourage everyone to do the same. 6 feet is the current distance to give for safe breathable space. We have put tape down to help guide you and we ask that you help us to keep everyone safe and healthy by staying home if you're sick. Everyone is supposed to stay home unless absolutely necessary, but if you happen to come down with symptoms it is even more important to stay home! As a small community, half of which being elderly folks, we need to make sure we don't make any unnecessary trips out to help contain this epidemic so that we can get things back to the way they were. We hope everyone is ok and our prayers go out to those affected.

Please stay safe and healthy! We now more than ever need to come together within our community to help each other stay healthy and safe. We don't need to hoard supplies and spread panic. Instead, remain calm and stay inside you property line, and we can all beat this thing. As a hardware store we are allowed to remain open, however, we will be limiting purchases of certain items like toilet paper, disinfecting supplies, dust masks, and sanitizers to only 1 per customer in an effort to make sure there is enough to go around. Our prayers go out to those affected and we hope everyone stays safe and stays healthy.

Spring is just about here!!!! Time to get outside and enjoy that beautiful weather. Once you get the yard all cleaned up we have the seeds ready for you to plant and make the yard look its absolute best, or make your garden full of all the wonderfully healthy veggies to feed the fam. Whether its flowers or veggies doesn't matter, The seeds are in!!!!!
