This new state-of-the-art Fletcher Jones Audi car dealership is located in Costa Mesa, CA and can be seen from both the 73 and the 55 freeways! Our new build consists of two primary structures. The front building is a 2-story, 42,000 square foot showroom and sales building and the rear structure a 1-story, 50,600 square foot service building with parking on the roof. Tomorrow marks 10 years that we here at Dempsey Construction have had the honor to work with our very own Darla Kooiman, Office Manager. She has been here from the very beginning and is the first person to reach this impressive milestone! As Dempsey’s office manager, Darla maintains office operations, procedures and processes, payroll and health insurance, including overseeing administrative and accounting staff. Thank you, Darla, for being a foundational part of who and what Dempsey Construction has grown to be over the many years.

2020, a year with more ups and downs than any of us expected. As a nation, we had to come together to acknowledge, mourn, and learn to overcome (we are all still learning) the twists and turns that this year presented us with. While we still have much work to be done, we are acknowledging the growth that has happened and that is yet to come in the new year and those following. We’re in this together, now and always. Who remembers this Industrial project? We love timelapse videos that show just how much physical work goes into the construction of a building. This business park was a concrete tilt-up building featuring 3 main tenant storefront entries with spandrel glass and pop-out elevations, 36’ clear height, 43 dock high truck doors, 6-grade level truck doors, and is situated on 9.23 acres. A new project is underway in Otay Mesa and we’re excited to keep you all updated as it moves along. Here’s a shot from the recent slab pour at the Airway Industrial Park project. The 135,623 SF Class A industrial building is being developer by Rockefeller Group and once complete will feature a 185’ concrete truck yard, 23 trailer stalls, and 33 dock doors (see rendering of final building elevation). Our Children's Workshop project was just awarded an Orchid and received the People’s Choice Award! Here's what they said about it: "This dynamic, playful, and extremely energy efficient private school was designed to meet the special needs of 75 students ages 4-12 with severe communication, learning, social and behavior problems associated with autism and other development disorders... The Children’s Workshop, by design, is intentionally not supposed to look or feel like a typical institutional school. Fletcher Jones Mercedes-Benz Ontario is sporting a fresh new look! The original 130,000 SF building was built in 2012 and just underwent a significant renovation which included the expansion and renovation to the service center and sales facility. Matterport is a remarkable modern technology that allows the client to virtually tour the space as if they were walking through the building. The type of 3D tour can be used to essentially view the infrastructure behind the walls and parts of the building that are not visible on a finished project. #3d #matterport #construction

Yesterday was a big day on site for our Fairfield Mission Bay project. We had 58 trucks (each with with 10 yards of concrete), coming and going on site from 7am to noon. There were 60 people working hard throughout the day yesterday, helping to bring this building to life. We also wanted to welcome Breann Smith, our new safety manager, to the Dempsey team (pictured below in the black vest)! Communication of the final vision to the team is the best way to keep everyone safe while on a job. We believe in quality over quantity and are willing to put in the time and the effort to make sure that our job sites are safe.
