Due to elevated mosquito abundance and the presence of West Nile and St. Louis Encephalitis virus in mosquitoes, Delta Vector Control District has scheduled a ground-based ultra low volume (ULV) treatment for adult mosquitoes on 10/08/2020 between 4:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. in north Visalia. Treatments are subject to weather conditions. Call our office at 559-732-8606 if you have any questions or concerns. The District uses Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-registered pyret...hroid-based products for ground ULV mosquito treatments. Adult mosquito treatments are applied at very low dosages using products that pose minimal risks to the public. The low dosages, plus natural degradation by UV light and water, ensure minimal risk. For individuals who want to avoid exposure, Delta Vector Control District recommends they stay inside or away from the application area during, and for 30 minutes, after the application. . . . #Visalia #WNV #StLouisEncephalitis #FightTheBite #DayAndNight #TulareCounty #Mosquitoes See more

Due to elevated Aedes aegypti mosquito abundance, Delta Vector Control District (DVCD) has scheduled a truck-mounted, wide area larvicide treatment targeting immature mosquito stages on 8/19/20 between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. at the Visalia Cemetery. All treatments are subject to weather conditions. Call DVCD at 559-732-8606 if you have any questions or concerns. The District uses VectoBac WDG, an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-registered and Organic Material Review I...nstitue (OMRI) approved product, for Wide Area Larvicide (WAL) treatments. This product is very safe and highly specific for mosquito larvae. With WALs, a larvicide is distributed across an area using equipment mounted on the back of a truck. The larvicide settles into water-holding containers and prevents mosquito larvae from hatching into biting adults. For individuals who want to avoid exposure, DVCD recommends they stay inside or away from the application area from 9 PM to 10 PM. . . . #Visalia #TulareCounty #Mosquitoes See more
