On December 10’ 1856 Battery Point Lighthouse fresnel lense was first lit by Theophilis Magruder , the station's first keeper. Happy 164th Anniversary
Did you know that this caboose carried passengers from Crescent City to Smith River in 1893 to the first Del Norte County Fair? It cost 50 cents per passenger! Thank you to Jessica and Quinten Phillip's for doing such a beautiful job decorating it into the Polar Express!

Gammon's Camp south of Crescent City on the East side of 101. You can see the fireplace in the middle of the cabins and the rock ring in the front grassy area of the camp. 1930s Not to far from today's Crescent Beach Motel.
