Bug (the chameleon...not the hornworm) got spoiled after her well check today. Yes, we recommend yearly health checks for our exotic patients too! Did you know that a chameleon’s tongue is approximately twice as long as its body length? That’s insane!

What? You forgot about our teeth? Don’t worry, we know what to do. Call De Anza! Hey De Anza Family. If you don’t recall, we mentioned that this year we are having not one, but TWO pet dental months! November is our next Pet Dental Month! We will offer 10% off all in house services for anesthetic dental services.... Don’t forget to ask us about your pet’s dental health the next time they are in. As a reminder, we are no longer offering non-anesthetic dental cleaning services via Pet Dental Services. We know this may be an inconvenience for some families, but we are truly committed to helping your furry loved ones stay healthy with a high standard of care. Worried about their health, age, or anesthesia? That’s ok! We assess each patients overall health to ensure they are indeed a candidate for this procedure. This can include things like a physical exam, pre-anesthetic blood work, pre-radiograph screenings (for cardiac patients), ultrasounds with a board certified radiologist, EKGs, and so on. Please do not hesitate to call or email with any questions, concerns, or to schedule your pet’s dental cleaning!

Join us in wishing our new associate veterinarian, Dr. Wang, a big happy birthday! We are so excited to have her as a part of our De Anza Family. Dr. Wang started volunteering/shadowing with us all the back in 2013 as an undergrad and is coming on as a UC Davis graduate in Veterinary Medicine. Her interests lie in Integrative medicine including acupuncture, small mammal medicine, internal medicine, and emergency medicine. We can’t wait for your furry, scaly, and feathered friends to meet her
