Ideally, download it to their chromebook or a device (phone, ipad) that they can access. The director would like them to listen to It's Showtime tonight if ...possible. Tuesday May 14th, is skate night at Fountain Valley Skate Center from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. They've given us special pricing of $7 admission which includes skate rental and all proceeds go to Davis. It's a fun night out for the family.

Reminder to 4th/5th graders!!! PAL application for new AND returning PAL members is due tomorrow at 8 am. Please be sure your student is logged in with his/her NMUSD Google account to access the application (######@nmusd.us). This flyer was sent home in Thursday folders on 5/2.... Dear Students/Parents: We are thrilled to continue the PAL Peer Assistance Leadership Program at Davis Magnet School. PAL is a school-based, peer-to-peer youth development program for students built on a philosophy of students helping students. PAL peer leaders help build a positive school climate through youth leadership, mentoring, cross-age teaching, peer helping, service learning, and prevention activities. The PAL program supports the development of 21st Century Skills in areas of leadership, communication, team building and problem solving. Our goal is to put together a diverse group of responsible leaders to best serve the school. Students will be selected from rising 5th and 6th grade students for the 2019-20 academic year. If your child is interested in being a PAL peer leader for 2019-20, he/she needs to complete a PAL Peer Assistance Leadership Application Form (use the link or QR Code below to access the digital form) on or before May 10, 2019 at 8:00 am. Late applications will not be accepted. We look forward to working with our PAL Peer Leaders and further supporting our student leaders. Skate night is tomorrow night!

Please join us after flag deck tomorrow in the MPR, for our General PTA meeting. Our guest speaker tomorrow is Dr. D’Agostino from NMUSD. His power point presentation will be Bullying & Cyberbullying: A conversation Around Best Practices. This is a timely presentation and we should all find this information beneficial.... Hope to see you there.

Today is the last day to apply for the talent show! Please get your applications in by midnight tonight. Don't forget backing tracks need to be uploaded today as well. There are links on how to do this in the application.

Magic Trees Tree Lot will donate a portion of each tree sale to Davis Magnet! If you purchase a Table Top Tree, $2 will be donated... Douglas Tree, $4 will be donated Noble Tree, $5 will be donated

All after-school activities have been canceled for today, including Annie rehearsal and ROCKS. Kinder students and siblings will wait in room 9 to be dismissed at the kinder loop. ALL other students will be dismissed from the MPR.
