"Infertility also impacted our lives when we decided to be open about the struggles of our journey. Keeping our struggles between us seemed easier at first beca...use talking about infertility reminds us of the medical issues and the pain that comes with them. However, we’re opening up because we want to change the conversation surrounding infertility." Thank you Jenny & Josh for sharing how infertility has impacted your lives. Your courage is amazing #MyInfertilityStory #NIAW2020 #NIAW #ImChangingTheConversation http://ow.ly/dzG750zigw3

Tonight's new essay, about struggling with DOR (Diminished Ovarian Reserve) is something that many in our audience can relate to. Writer Jenna Williams also fin...ds it odd to have been told her body is acting older when she has always been told she looks younger. (Anyone else with infertility experience this?). She says, 'I may be young and healthy, but diminished ovarian reserve does not discriminate. It can affect women as early as in their 20s. It can affect women who work out five times a week and eat kale as well as women who aren’t active and eat fast food. DOR impacts women of every race, ethnicity, age, socioeconomic status, ability level, and sexual orientation, in countries all around the world. Understanding that it could happen to anyone doesn’t make accepting the diagnosis less difficult. She adds, A diminished ovarian reserve diagnosis has taught me many things, but the biggest lesson is that when it comes to fertility, what you see is not necessarily what you get. " She also never thought so much about marrying a younger man until she got this diagnosis. Here's tonight's new essay, "Diminished Ovarian Reserve: What You See is Not What You Get." now on pregnantish or by clicking this link below.
