What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger GPS: 3836'2.646" N, - 12115'45.234" W ... I think that could be the quote for my latest #themotorcycleportrait of Clearwater Lights founder Glenn Stasky. Glenn was riding his motorcycle when an impact with a deer at night almost cost him his life. Determined to make sure something like that was avoidable for other riders he took is knowledge as a speaker engineer and created the first LED dimmable motorcycle lights. No longer does a rider have to turn off their lights so as not to blind an oncoming driver, now they can simply dim them while maintaining good visibility for their own safety. Lives saved CHECK!!! AS if that wasn’t enough Glenn also created a way for professional motorcyclist on track to be instantly aware of the safety conditions thanks to using a type of mesh technology. Now there was no chance that a rider would come upon an accident or issue on track that would catch them unaware and lead to a potentially hazardous outcome. Lives saved again CHECK!! When I left on my motorcycle trip in early Aug of 2020 to use the bike as a mobile photo studio I had no idea the type of people I would meet but Glenn was only the first in 17 new portraits I photographed for this series. Stick around and see who is coming up. You will not be disappointed. See more

Excited to share these images from AMA Magazine’s August edition. I’ve been quietly working on this series I call #themotorcycleportraits for about two years. I create a portrait of people whose lives are deeply connected to motorcycles. They could be builders, racers, collectors or anything in between. I include an audio interview of the subject and GPS coordinates from the exact location and time of the shot. You can see and hear the full series on my website: https://davidgoldmanphoto.com/ check it out or follow along on my Instagram: @thedavidgoldmanphoto

Some images from Mariachi Plaza and Santa Monica this past week in Los Angeles. Covering two peaceful protests. Los Angeles Police have done a lot of damage to people of color, Mexican and indigenous communities over the years. If you don’t get it you are not listening hard enough. You can see more work on my Instagram page @thedavidgoldmanphoto

20 years ago this June marks the anniversary of my first and by far most successful album package that I had the opportunity to shoot. With sales over 15 million units. Enema Of The State by Blink-182 is considered by many a seminal punk album. The cover image of the nurse has become an iconic photo. Billboard rated it #13 Greatest Album Covers Of All Time For this anniversary I’m going deep into the filing cabinet and making something available that until now has never... seen the light of day. I’ve created a stunning reproduction of the very roll of film that the album cover image came from. Shot with the classic Mamiya RZ-67 camera on Kodak EPP film. The Contact sheet print displays 10 images with the 9th image circled in marker with the words 11x14 and an X indicating that this is the frame that will be used for the final cover and the size of print to create. These stunning prints will be reproduced on high gloss metal. With the metal you don’t need a frame, you simply hang it on the wall. The image has a three dimensional quality as it seems to leap off the wall. If you are interested in purchasing one of these prints simply email me at: [email protected] and in the subject write Blink-182 print. I am offering a number of sizes including 8x10, 11x14, 16x20 and 20x24. I can go bigger but that will be a special order. Prices are as follows (for US and Canadian shipping) I accept PayPal: 8x10 = $250 + $20.00 for shipping = $270.00 US 11x14=$400 + $20.00 for shipping = $420.00 US 16x20=$500 + $35.00 for shipping = $535.00 US 20x24=$650 + $35.00 for shipping = $685.00 There was no way to know at the time that this record would go on to be so successful but here we are 20 years later. I’m grateful for being selected to shoot it! Thanks, David
