Day #1: Return to my Real Estate Practice I had a couple of leasing administrative things to do this morning, but by noonish, I was at the real estate office me...eting up with my real estate partner, Nicolas. We did a bit of catching up, but after that, we got down to business. Nicolas briefed me on his latest adventures in the REO (Real Estate Owned) side of the business and it looks exciting moving forward. In case you don't know, REO is the term used for bank-owned real estate. Banks love earning money through mortgage interest but don't like owning property from foreclosures, etc. So, when banks have to foreclose and end up owning real estate, they very much want to work with Realtors, like us, in helping to sell these properties so that they can get the property off of their balance sheet and converted to cold-hard cash :) My focus over the coming days will be to call my SOI (Sphere Of Influence) those people who know, like, and trust me. I want to catch up with my SOI to let them know that I have returned from Canada and am ready to serve their real estate needs :) So, with Nicolas focusing on REO, I as the other partner in crime, will focus on the residential sales side of our practice, in addition to managing the execution of any transactions in progress, etc. There's a lot of work ahead, but I look forward to delighting our clients once more! As always, stay tuned...

My final status from my California Road Trip!

California Road Trip Day 12: The Grand Canyon Although I have been at The Grand Canyon before, it never ceases to amaze me. If you have never been to The Grand ...Canyon, this is a MUST SEE! I've taken a number of pictures and videos (of course), but neither gives you the same reaction as when you see it live for yourself. For this trip, I went to the South Rim and took the Hermit's Rest bus route -- Stunningly beautiful! If you have never been to The Grand Canyon, then you should know that there is a $35.00 entrance fee to the park, which is good for a few days. This includes parking and access to a free bus route system. Do yourself a favor and leave your car in the parking lot and take the buses. The buses run very frequently (every 10-15 mins) and it's a hop-on/hop-off system. For me, I got off every stop and spent 10 minutes (or more) taking in the view, then hopped on again for the next stop. A very fun day! After The Grand Canyon, I was on the road. Tonight, I am in Las Vegas, which is about halfway home between The Grand Canyon and California. This means that, unless I decide to stay for another night at "Vegas", I will be on my final leg to California. My home in the United States. Oh, did I forget to mention that I became a United States citizen this past summer :) I am now a proud dual citizen of both the United States and Canada! Finally, with my long absence away from California while taking care of my mother for the past year or so, I am excited to return to my California home and family and friends, and of course, re-engage with my Real Estate clients as I get back full-steam ahead with my California Real Estate practice. Note: If you're looking to sell or buy a home, give me a call; I'd be pleased to assist you! I took a lot of photos, but I am posting some of my favorites. Stay tuned and of course, enjoy the pictures and videos!

California Road Trip Day 9: After breakfast in San Antonio, I hit the road toward Roswell, NM, stopping off at "The Caverns of Sonora", which is a unique cave l...ocated 8 miles (13 km) west of the small city of Sonora, the seat of Sutton County, Texas. It is a world-class cave because of its stunning array of calcite crystal formations. The cavern goes down 150 feet below the surface with a constant temperature of 70 degrees and 98% humidity. I rate this place a 10 out of 10 because it was very impressive and well worth visiting if you happen to be in the area! After the cavern visit, it was back on the road for ~5-hour road trip to Roswell, New Mexico. I plan to stay the night here and then head to the UFO museum, etc. tomorrow. I snapped a couple of shots tonight as a teaser :) After Roswell, I'll be heading toward the grand canyon, with likely another stop before arriving at the grand canyon because of the large distance... As always, enjoy the photos :) Stay tuned...

California Road Trip Day 8: A fun day starting by visiting the Johnson Space Center in Houston, then driving for ~3 hours to have dinner on the Riverwalk in San... Antonio. My review of the Space Center? First, a caveat... I'm a big fan of space 'anything' :) I would have to give this place a 7 out of 10, largely because of the many displays that were not functional (not fun for the kids). If however, you don't care for the interactive displays and just love "space/NASA stuff", then you will love it; especially the tram rides (there are two separate rides). The tram rides get you to the Saturn V rocket (can we say HUGE) and to Mission Control! Finally, you can go inside the Boeing Aircraft and Shuttle, which you MUST see. If you are a space buff, it's definitely worth the visit! On the road to San Antonio after my visit to the Space Center... Before heading to my hotel for the evening, I had dinner by the Riverwalk at "Boudro's", which is known for its seafood and steak dishes (delish). The Riverwalk is beautiful to walk along and take in the scenery (especially at night). If you come to San Antonio, you MUST visit the Riverwalk... Tomorrow morning, I think I'll go to the Riverwalk again and maybe take a trip over to "The Alamo". Then, it's on the road again, heading northeast towards "The Grand Canyon", but obviously not in one day... likely will go through New Mexico and stopover in Roswell and check out the aliens and UFO's :) Enjoy the photos! Stay tuned

California Road Trip Day 7, Not much to add today. I left New Orleans after breakfast and spent the day driving to Houston, Texas (another 300 miles). Once arrived, I ate dinner and then relaxed. Busy day scheduled at the Johnson Space Centre tomorrow. Should be fun. Stay tuned...
