DAV chapter 12 getting ready for Christmas!!!

Thank you to all of our volunteers at the DAV chapter 12 San Bernardino!! Today we were able to disperse 200 food boxes to veterans, civilians and a variety of veteran organizations!!! Thank you for all the help and support! #TEAMWORK Thank you Dominic@ Trinity Veteran APO from a DAV chapter 12... Without you and your organization, none of this would be possible! We are keeping our weekly food drives open till the end of the year to help families during this time of need... We are covid-19 compliant Our spiritual group is open Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. (under new covid-19 compliant regulations religious groups and chapels are able to stay open) DAV chapter 12 Veteran Exploration Garden is open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for volunteering in the garden. Tragedy at the DAV chapter 12! With all these high winds it literally snapped a tree in half damaging our fence. It also uprooted our fig tree, debris and damage all over the place. But with the great help of approximately 15 volunteers we were able to get our DAV chapter back in shape within 4 hours! Thank you to our members that keep consistently showing up! it really shows the love that you guys are putting into the chapter! Lunch was chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, and g...ravy. Homemade apple pie was for dessert donated by Steve and Becky Rudkin! Lots of hard work and great fellowship! See more

Today is our food distribution Wednesday! 10/28/20 This may be our last week... Swing on by the chapter and pick up a box for you or a veteran in need... I'm only picking up 109 boxes.. New DAV Ch 12 member Dennis Robinson rocking his DAV 12 shirt on a beautiful hike! 10/25/20 Hike with Heather Leineweber Robison & Joshua Leineweber out by Lake Millerton, half hour from Fresno. The trail was Pincushion, and is 1 1/2 mi with a 800+ ft elevation. After we made it up to Pincushion peak, we took the back trail back, which gave us about a 4mile hike overall. I really enjoyed myself after all the hikes I've done in the forests back home.

Another amazing day at the "DAV chapter 12" Wednesday October 21st, we were able to dispense out 85 food boxes to veterans and civilians! Thursday we were able to give out 48 boxes! It's great to help our veterans and our community during his time of struggle! Thank you to Dominic Trinity Veteran... It's been a really great partnership... Thank you to Denise and "US Vets" for stopping by and paying a visit to our chapter, We look forward to working with you in the near future.

DAV chapter 12 member "Henry Castaneda" was presenting one of his famous walking sticks to a "Gold Star son". The son in return gave him some of the dirt from Vietnam it was such a special event to witness..

Please keep long time member "Steve Rudkin" and his wife Becky Rudkin in your prayers. Steve is going through some medical issues and we would like to send our powers of prayers and positive thoughts their way. Steve has recently found out that he is battling lung cancer and we will keep him in our prayers! Let's show Steve that he has DAV chapter 12 support!!! Please drop him some kind words of encouragement!!!

"CHRISTMAS FAMILY FUN NIGHT!!!" We are in the planning stages, and we got a nice donation for "prizes" to give away two kids for a carnival games! From Dominic frontino Trinity Veteran Free popcorn, pizza, and punch, to all families and children.. Brandon Hill @ HD Projector Services Is donating their services! We will have a beautiful HD projector setup to have an outside movie with surround sound!!! This is just the beginning!!! More to come!!!... "March Air Force reserve Base" Veterans village and food pantry Thank you Dominic Trinity Veteran for the awesome tour and letting us volunteer! DAV Ch. 12 San Bernardino Chapter member Mark Ling donated just under $100 of spaghetti sauce. A need that was seen, and fulfilled in less than an hour.

"Veterans of Foreign Wars California Community Activities South" Enclosed are hygiene kits prepared for military women who are experiencing emergencies or are in periods of distress. Each kit contains sanitary products for feminine health needs, and each also includes basic toiletry components.... All products were donated for the purpose of providing for service women! See more

370 food box donations!!!! In the last two weeks (CLICK ON THE FIRST PHOTO 150 boxes panoramic photo) 150 food box donations yesterday.. 90 boxes today given to our veterans families!
